Pattern

Makes it funny before anyone else can make it painful. The joke lands. The landing doesn't.

The Scene

Something real happens. Loss, failure, a moment that requires her to be soft. She turns to the camera instead. The audience laughs. She laughs. Then the scene cuts and her face changes for half a second before she catches it.

The System

She grew up in a house where emotional expression was unreliable currency. You couldn't predict how it would land. Humor was the one register that always worked, that created connection without requiring vulnerability, that let her be seen without being known.

The Cost

The people who want to get close can't find the door. The humor is the door. The humor is also the wall. She's fluent in her own deflection and it has made her genuinely funny and genuinely alone.

The Pivot

The Priest. She doesn't make it a joke. For the first time in the series, she says something real and doesn't look at the camera. She stays in the moment instead of narrating it. It doesn't last. But it happened.

The Pull

You are very funny. You know exactly how to read a room and give it what it needs. The version of you the room sees is real. It's also the version that doesn't need anything back.
